2026 Ladies League Details
Hi Ladies,
Once again our League Committee has gotten together to review the Start, Stop & Continue information from the 2025 season, and we have planned out a fabulous 2026 Belmont Ladies League for you! There is a lot of information here, and some things have changed so take your time to read through.
We will run a 9 hole league (front nine only at this time due to cutting schedules). Ladies League day will be Thursdays, but play is allowed any day of the week, keeping in mind that our special league rate will only apply Monday – Thursday.
We will run a 20 week season starting the week of April 30th, with our final week starting September 17th. All rounds must be played by September 23rd. As always our weeks will start on “Ladies League Thursday” and end on Wednesday. Ideally you will play your rounds with other league members, however you are welcome to play with anyone as long as you have someone to sign off on your scorecard.
League Information Night
An opening league information night will be held Thursday, April 23rd at 6pm in the clubhouse.
This registration day will kick off a “practice week” where you can golf at the league rate on April 23rd, 27th, 28th or 29th before the official start on April 30th. Registration fees must be paid by April 30th.
Scoring:
You must play a minimum of 12 rounds to be eligible for a prize at the end of the season, and to be in the running for winning your division. As you are only required to play 12 rounds out of 20 weeks, we are not allowing ladies to “play ahead” and submit scores for weeks they may be away. At the end of the season we will take each ladies’ top 12 scores and use those to determine division winners.
This season we are implementing a new online program called Smart Golf to help keep track of scoring and improve communication. We will provide more details on this to those who have registered.
Ladies League Thursday
We will have two time blocks reserved for the league every Thursday. One in the morning, and one in the evening. Tee Sheets will be posted in the clubhouse on the league board so that you can sign up for a tee time within these time blocks. Any unused times may be released to the public.
We will have two “Fun Days” each month on Thursdays.
The first Thursday of each month will be Theme Thursday. Any one who participates in the theme will be included in a draw to win a prize for that week. On these days we will also run Closest to the Pin or something similar. To win a closest to the pin, you must purchase a Mulligan package at the beginning of the season.
The third Thursday of each month will be Thursday Fun Day. We will have a special round/game that will be played (for example something like Bingo, Bango, Bongo), that doesn’t impact your actual score for the week. We will hand out prizes to the winners of the morning time block, and afternoon time block each week, but you must purchase a Mulligan package at the beginning of the season to be eligible to win.
Weekly Secret Holes
Each week there will be a secret hole set by the clubhouse in advance. There will be a pre-set criteria to meet for that hole that could be something like 3 putting on hole 4, or lowest score on hole 7. The criteria for these points will remain a mystery until all scores have been submitted so that there is no cheating! If you happen to meet the secret hole criteria you are automatically entered to win a prize that week. No Mulligan purchase required.
Mulligans
This year your Mulligans for the season must be purchased up front with your registration as a one time $40 cash payment. This is optional. Mulligans allow you to use an extra shot each week on your game to improve your score AND they automatically opt you in for the ability to win prizes during our Theme and Fun Days. You are still welcome to play in our fun days if you do not buy mulligans, but you are not eligible to win the prizes for these days. Prizes handed out on Thursdays are purchased directly from the Mulligan money, and the upfront payments will allow us to budget accordingly. Participating in a theme does not require buying a Mulligan, anyone can win that prize. Please view the sample calendar for clarity.
Sample Calendar
Week 1 April 30th – May 6th
Secret Hole of the week is hole #3 (a winner will be drawn at the end of the week from anyone who met the secret hole component; buying a mulligan is not required).
Theme Thursday: Theme is Spring Flowers (Draw for one winner from anyone who participated in the theme, no mulligan purchase required) We will also run “Closest to the flower” and longest drive competitions. Two prizes for closest to the flower (one morning and one afternoon), two prizes for longest drive (one morning and one afternoon); must have purchased a mulligan to win these prizes.
Week 2 May 7th – 13th
Secret Hole of the week is hole #6 (a winner will be drawn at the end of the week from anyone who met the secret hole component; buying a mulligan is not required).
Thursday: Golf as usual
Week 3 May 14th – 20th
Secret hole of the week is hole #1 (a winner will be drawn at the end of the week out of anyone who met the secret hole component; buying a mulligan is not required).

18 holes walking – $27.20 + hst
18 holes with cart – $47.20 + hst
9 holes walking – $18.70 + hst
9 holes with cart – $33.70 + hst

Registration will be $60 cash and include a year end banquet and prizes. If purchasing the Mulligan package the total will be $100 cash. Registration must be paid in cash this season.
Mens League
*Our Men’s League Registration will open to the public on March 16th*
2026 Men’s League Details
Men’ s League will be a nine hole league. Men’s League Night will be Tuesday evenings but play is allowed throughout the week. We will alternate front and back 9.
The season will begin the week of April 28th and run for 20 weeks, ending the week of September 15th.
The Tuesday night Tee Sheet will be posted up on the league board in the clubhouse so that you may sign up for your tee time one week in advance minimum.
If you are not able to make it out on Tuesday nights you can play your league game any day Monday to Thursday at the league rate, or Friday – Sunday at the regular rate. Scores will be collected each Monday and entered into Smart Golf.
This season instead of writing your scores on a scoresheet we will be asking you to submit your scorecard. This means that you will need to let the clubhouse staff know that you are playing your league game before you head out so that they can stamp your scorecard. Also please write your full name, as well as the date on your card. While we of course encourage it, you do not have to play your league round with another league member, however you do need to play with someone that can sign off on your score. We would encourage you to play during the Tuesday time slot to facilitate the social aspect of a league.
If you come out and play a full 18, just the 9 holes being used that week will count towards your score. You are welcome to golf any day, however if we are on a back 9 week, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to play the back 9 outside of the Tuesday night time block. We encourage you to play Tuesday evening, or play a full 18 holes anytime that week to include the back 9. We recognize that this can be difficult for some and will try to work with you on this. If you are having trouble getting out for your back 9 round please speak with the clubhouse, or Emily (ebader@belmontgolfclub.com).
Toward the end of the season we will split into divisions, those divisions will be used for playoffs. Specific details on how the divisions will be decided to be announced shortly

Skins:
We are going to continue with Skins this year, but mix it up and add in a few closest to the pins. Skins will be a $2 buy in, only available on Tuesday evening play.
Rules:
As for rules and pace of play, we ask that we play a gentleman’s game, not rolling the ball or improving lies. If you lose a ball, take a minute or two to look, if it’s lost, drop, take a stroke and move on.
If there are changes to the rules based on course conditions, we will send out an email letting you know, and post on the league board.

This season, registration will be cash only paid in the clubhouse due by April 28 or you may lose your spot to someone on the waiting list. Registration fee is $60 and includes a year end banquet and prizes.
Only the registration form is required to be considered registered until we are open for the season and you can make payment. We will accept registrations on a first come first served basis with a waitlist if necessary.
There will be a men’s league information night on April 21 at 6pm where more league details will be given. This is also an opportunity to pay.
